​​​​​The UpWind Junior Sailing program provides young sailors and their families in the Los Cabos area the opportunity to experience the joy and benefits of sailing.  With qualified and competent instruction, UpWind Sailing brings together the beautiful waters of Southern Baja with residents seeking a closer relationship  to the sea through the sport of sailing. Along with the support of the “Club de Yates Los Cabos” our program goals for UpWind are as follows:​

• To provide a safe and fun environment where seamanship, sailing and racing skills can be taught to motivated and qualified students.

• To inspire sportsmanship, teamwork, self-confidence, and consideration of others on and off

• the water as they explore a greater love and respect for the sea.

• To enable students to acquire the needed water and boating skills that will grow into a life-long experience of competitive sailing or cruising open waters.

• To teach young people how to sail to the best of their ability and to encourage their skills and competence through both individual and team participation.

• To acquire competitive sailing skills needed to participate in local race activities, and eventually in Regional, National, and International regattas.
